Ла Луэтт | | Ла Луэтт, по-английски La Luette - это невысокая гора, расположенная в северных средних широтах восточного полушария, в точке с координатами 46.0102° северной широты, 7.38775° восточной долготы. С географической точки зрения у вершины следующее расположение: Евразия (Европа), Южные Альпы, Pennine Alps. С административной точки зрения у вершины следующее расположение: Швейцария.
Высота горы достаточно точно измерена и составляет три тысячи пятьсот сорок восемь метров, или одиннадцать тысяч шестьсот сорок футов. Наиболее благоприятные для экспедиции на вершину месяцы это Январь, Март, Апрель, Май, Июнь, Июль, Август, Сентябрь, Октябрь, Ноябрь, Декабрь. Восхождение на такую вершину как Ла Луэтт доступно любому человеку и для этого ему не потребуется ни специальная физическая, ни техническая подготовка. Для успешного восхождения вам скорее понадобится термос и бутерброды, чем технические навыки или приспособления. The mountain raises above the Dix lake, at its south-west side. Access by car is possible to the Dix dam (with 285 m height the world's third highest dam), to around 2100 m altitude, with a good road and a lot of free parking space below the dam; follow signs to Pralong. Pralong can be reached by car also from Nendaz following another scenic road. From the dam one takes the flat road along the west side of the lake. This is a long but pleasant walk of more than 5 km. Close to the dam this walking road goes through several lengthy tunnels, some without light. In the middle of this flat section, on the right side there is a mountain hut La Barma (2458 m, guardian in weekends only, always open, usually crowded by families with children because of an easy access from the dam). Not far from this hut, in the north direction there is another one, Cabane des Ecoulaies (2.575 m, always open, guardian in weekends in summer time). At the end of the lake the route splits and one should go sharp to the right and up the mountain in the direction of the Dix hut (2928 m). With the first sight of the Dix hut one should go in the west and nort-west direction towards the summit, passing small glacier with some crevasses. Mont Blanc de Cheilon is always in sight. Time needed from the Dix dam to the summit is around 6 hours. The mountain can be climbed in combination with its first neighbour Le Pleureur (3703 m).Another approach is from the Arolla valley. This is a continuation of Val d' Herens, entrance from Sion, direction Evolene, with a good road till the Arolla village, which is nearly at the same altitude as the Dix dam parking. After that take the route to Riedmatten pass or Chèvres pass.Equipment: from the Dix lake, standard walking shoes, rope for the glacier if one does not go solo. Access from Arolla (Chèvres pass) implies 30 m high ladders, so v-rope and harness are recommended. | | |
